Rumors, they're everywhere. In school,Walmart, everywhere. Here at Laguna you hear rumors about this person and that person. Some rumors are about the students, others are even about the teachers!
A rumor is a true or false statement about a person (or multiple people) circulating from person to person. Rumors can be about celebrities and your everyday people. Rumors about celebrities are usually less personal than those you go to school with.
This reporter has heard rumors about themselves before. This reporter has heard rumors about their friends, family, and teachers before. Rumors hurt people! So don't spread them. Most rumors this reporter heard at their school include who likes who, and in their opinion, those are more annoying than hurtful. About 2/3 of the students in schools have rumors made up about them. The other 1/3 either makes the rumors or has never heard rumors about themselves. Rumors are silly little stories that shouldn't be spread. So if you hear a rumor about someone, don't spread it, tell an adult and help avoid it.
